A rather interesting (if not a total rehash) about a few of the recordings from Air Force Project Blue Book  files which add some insight into the many UFO cases collected.  The famed Kenneth Arnold sighting is analyzed and some discrepancies brought to the fore.  The distance that Arnold saw his UFOs on June 24, 1947 is disputed.   “If Arnold actually saw the objects and if his estimate of distances is correct, that of size cannot be, and visa versa,” said the Air Force, “in view of the above, it appears probable that whatever objects were observed were intelligent and authentic agents in the sky, therefore,  had been some sort of known aircraft.”

The Mantell  case  of January 7, 1948  has been stated as an UFO attack on Mantell’s plane.  The Air Force files depict general confusion in which Mantell originally saw the planet Venus along with the flight of a Skyhook balloon—the two intrinsically tied into one sighting.   “The sighting might have included two or more balloons or aircraft; or they might have included both Venus (in the fatal crash) as well as balloons,”   said the Air Force.

One gets the impression from the files Steiger has gleaned from the Air Force that the Air Force didn’t have a heck of a lot of information about ‘saucers.’    Dr. J. Allen Hynek makes an appearance in various forms and reports throughout the book, perplexed and even cynical, until, approximately, the time of the April 24, 1964, Lonnie Zamora ‘UFO landing.’

It appeared that the Air Force got tired of chasing ‘ghosts’ and in 1966 turned the whole mess over to the Condon UFO Committee investigation.

Civilian investigators have howled about an Air Force conspiracy but all this book has shown is their perplexity and even disgust with the inability of people to properly identify or hoax air objects.

“Project Blue Book” turns some of the best-known UFO tales into a TV series, starring Aidan Gillen as investigator J. Allen Hynek. (History Channel Illustration)

“Project Blue Book,” the History Channel TV series making its debut tonight, takes its inspiration from classic UFO cases of the 1940s and 1950s — but for UFO fans who gathered to watch a Seattle preview of the first episode, the show hints at the shape of things to come as well.

“You won’t believe how many productions are coming down the pike right now to basically red-pill the public,” Michael W. Hall, the founder of a Seattle-area group called UFO iTeam, said at the screening. “The truth is out there, and guess what? We’re going to have to ‘fess up to it right away.”

“Project Blue Book” fictionalizes the real-life X-files of pioneer UFO investigator J. Allen Hynek. So it was natural for Hall — an attorney based in Edmonds, Wash., who styles himself as the “Paranormal Lawyer” — to put out the word to the more than two dozen UFOiTeam members to attend November’s movie-theater preview.

The series takes its name from the real-life Project Blue Book, a U.S. Air Force campaign that investigated UFO reports starting in the 1950s. Hynek was the scientific consultant for the project, as he was for two earlier investigations known as Project Sign and Project Grudge.

The trained astrophysicist eventually came to believe that some UFO sightings were genuine mysteries and deserved more serious scrutiny. Nevertheless, the Air Force shut the project down in 1970 .

Hynek, who passed away in 1986 at the age of 75, is a kindred spirit for UFO enthusiasts — and particularly for folks like Maureen Morgan, who is Washington state director for the Mutual UFO Network, also known as MUFON.

Morgan and other MUFON investigators take reports like the ones chronicled in “Project Blue Book” very, very seriously.

“Generally, when we call and interview everyone who submits a report about a sighting, invariably the first thing that comes out of their mouth is, ‘You’re going to think I’m crazy,’ ” she said. “And then I remind them who they’re talking to and say, ‘No, we’ve probably heard it before.’ ”

MUFON isn’t the only organization documenting anomalous aerial phenomena. The National UFO Reporting Center, or NUFORC, has been compiling records for decades. The center’s current director, Peter Davenport, has his headquarters in an converted ICBM missile site in Eastern Washington.

Washington state has a rich history of UFO sightings — going back to 1947, when private airplane pilot Kenneth Arnold reported seeing weird-looking aircraft flying past Mount Rainier at incredible speed. News stories about Arnold’s claims gave rise to the term “flying saucer,” and set the stage for the Roswell UFO incident weeks later.

Another 1947 UFO sighting in the Puget Sound region, known as the Maury Island Incident, entered local lore as well (and spawned a documentary that’s available to watch online).

The first few episodes of “Project Blue Book” focus on different locales — starting with North Dakota, the setting for a UFO incident reported by an Air National Guard pilot in 1948.

In the series premiere, Hynek (played by “Game of Thrones” veteran Aidan Gillen) is recruited by the Air Force to track down an explanation for the pilot’s sighting. He takes the job more seriously than the Air Force wants him to, however, and eventually runs up against shadowy spies and the infamous Men in Black.

Other early episodes take on the case of the Flatwoods Monster (West Virginia, 1952) and the mystery of the Lubbock Lights (Texas, 1951).

Will “Project Blue Book” become a phenomenon of “X Files” proportions? Based on the premiere, the show seems a bit too earnest to strike that chord. Throwing in some quirky “Monster of the Week” episodes and the geeky Lone Gunmen might liven things up. But that might clash with Hynek’s straight-arrow vibe.

The series’ serious tone certainly suited the folks on the UFO iTeam. For them, anomalous phenomena aren’t merely fodder for a retro TV show. In this age of media mistrust and government dysfunction, maybe programs like “Project Blue Book” are in line with the temper of the times.

“Without the MUFONs and the iTeams, without the National UFO Reporting Center, there is nothing out there, and it will revert to the deep state, whatever,” Morgan said. “It will go back to the same people who were behind Project Blue Book.”

Lucas Reilly – January 24, 2019

Between 1952 and 1969, the U.S. Air Force conducted a series of studies on UFO sightings called Project Blue Book. Not only is there a new History Channel series about the program, but this year also marks the 50th anniversary of the project’s termination. Get to know the secretive program better.

1. PROJECT BLUE BOOK WASN’T THE GOVERNMENT’S FIRST UFO STUDY.

In 1947, a private pilot named Kenneth Arnold reportedly spotted nine glowing UFOs zooming over Washington’s Mount Rainier. The public went wild for the so-called “flying saucers.” Shortly after, the U.S. government launched Project SIGN to determine if such objects were a threat. In 1948, Project SIGN purportedly published a document called the “Estimate of the Situation,” which suggested that extraterrestrials were a possible explanation for UFO sightings. As the story goes, Air Force officials destroyed the document and launched a more skeptical investigation in the late 1940s  called Project GRUDGEBlue Book came a few years later.

2. THE “ESTIMATE OF THE SITUATION” WAS INSPIRED BY A MIND-BOGGLING EVENT.

In the 1960s, Air Force officials denied that the “Estimate of the Situation” document ever existed. Those who vouch for its authenticity, however, say the report was inspired by a 1948 UFO sighting in Alabama, after two experienced pilots saw a torpedo-shaped “glowing object” zip past their aircraft and rocket into the clouds. The report shocked and baffled many of Project SIGN’s researchers, though scientists would later claim the sighting was consistent with a bolide, or bright meteor.

3. “BLUE BOOK” WAS NAMED AFTER A COLLEGE TESTING STAPLE.

Whether UFOs are extraterrestrial in origin is debatable. What’s undeniable is that, during the 1950s, people routinely spotted (or thought they spotted) objects flying over the United States—and it was the onus of the U.S. military to figure out what they were and whether they posed any danger. Blue Book would earn its name because, at the time, Air Force officials equated studying the phenomenon with preparing for a collegiate “blue book” final exam.

4. OFFICIALS DEVELOPED A SPECIAL PROTOCOL FOR HANDLING UFO SIGHTINGS.

A central part of Project Blue Book was the creation of a standardized questionnaire for UFO sightings. Some sample prompts: “Draw a picture that will show the shape of the object or objects … What was the condition of the sky? … Did the object: Suddenly speed up and rush away at any time? Change shape? Flicker, throb, or pulsate?” Eventually, every U.S. Air Force base ended up designating a special officer to collect these UFO reports.

5. THOUSANDS OF REPORTS WERE COLLECTED—AND SOME HAVEN’T BEEN EXPLAINED.

By the time Project Blue Book was closed, officials had gathered 12,618 UFO reports. Of those, 701 were never explained. Nearly half of those unidentified UFOs appeared in 1952 when a whopping 1501 UFOs were sighted. (Interestingly, that following year, it became a crime for military personnel to discuss classified UFO reports with the public; the risk of breaking the law could mean up to two years imprisonment.)

6. PROJECT BLUE BOOK SAW FIVE LEADERSHIP CHANGES.

Each person in command saw the purpose of Project Blue Book differently. Captain Edward J. Ruppelt, for example, treated the job as a serious scientific quest and is often lauded as the project’s most impartial leader. (Notably, he is responsible for coining the term UFO.) Major Hector Quintanilla, who took over the project in 1963, was more interested in turning Blue Book into a PR front and focused on quelling the public’s interest in UFOs—a desire that would eventually lead to charges of a government cover-up.

7. BLUE BOOK MADE SUCH BAD SCIENTIFIC MISTAKES THAT CONGRESS HAD TO GET INVOLVED.

In 1965, Oklahoma Police, the Tinker Air Force Base, and a local meteorologist using weather radar independently tracked four unexplained flying objects. Under Quintanilla’s advisement, Project Blue Book would claim that these witnesses had simply observed the planet Jupiter. The problem with this explanation? Jupiter wasn’t even visible in the night’s sky. “The Air Force must have had its star finder upside-down during August,” Robert Riser, an Oklahoma planetarium director, said at the time. A series of more badly botched scientific explanations eventually led to a congressional hearing.

8. THE PROJECT’S DESIRE TO DISMISS UNIDENTIFIED PHENOMENA BOTHERED ITS SOLE SCIENTIST.

Project Blue Book had one consistent scientific consultant, astronomer Dr. J. Allen Hynek. In 1968, Hynek wrote: “The staff of Blue Book, both in numbers and in scientific training, is grossly inadequate … there is virtually no scientific dialogue between Blue Book and the outside scientific world … The statistical methods employed by Blue Book are nothing less than a travesty” [PDF]. Hynek held Quintanilla in particularly low regard, saying, “Quintanilla’s method was simple: disregard any evidence that was counter to his hypothesis.”

9. IN 2007, A NEW GOVERNMENT INQUIRY INTO UFOS WAS LAUNCHED.

Between 2007 and 2012, the U.S. government spent $22 million on a new UFO study called the “Advanced Aviation Threat Identification Program.” (Nowadays, UFOs are called UAPs, or “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena”: You can watch one here.) This January, more than three dozen of the program’s studies became publicly available, revealing the government’s interest in everything from warp drives to invisibility cloaks.

Debbie Siegelbaum, BBC News, Chicago

Amateur historian John Greenewald has spent nearly two decades requesting declassified information from the US government regarding UFOs.

Recently, he posted more than 100,000 pages of documents on the US Air Force’s internal UFO investigations to the internet. Here are the top five things to know from the open files of Project Blue Book.

1. Project Blue Book had a sizeable mission

The origins of the ambitious project can be traced to June 1947, UFO researcher Alejandro Rojas tells the BBC.

The editor of Open Minds magazine says a well-respected businessman and pilot, Kenneth Arnold, was flying over Washington state when he witnessed several unidentified flying objects.

Arnold later described the crafts as “skipping like saucers”, which the media adopted and took to calling flying saucers.

This high-profile incident – along with several others, including a rumored UFO landing in Roswell, New Mexico, the same year – led the Air Force to launch an investigative body.

Named Project Blue Book and headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, the program was reportedly comprising only a handful of staff.

Nonetheless the group investigated 12,618 UFO sightings in a two-decade period.

2. Project Blue Book was created in a time of public unease

Formed in the years immediately following World War Two, Project Blue Book was intended to stop the spread of public unease about a growing number of reported UFO sightings, including over such landmarks as the White House and US Capitol.

“There was a lot of hysteria with the public, and that to the military and government at the time was a big threat in itself,” Greenewald says. “It didn’t matter if UFOs were alien or not, they were causing a panic, so [the government] had to settle everybody’s nerves.”

Though frequently met with derision today, UFO sightings are said to have been discussed at the top levels of government in the 1940s and 1950s.

“It was taken very seriously back then,” Rojas says, with Central Intelligence Agency chiefs publicly claiming it was a real phenomenon and even then-Congressman Gerald Ford warning it needed to be investigated.

In 1966 a separate Air Force committee was set up to further delve into some of the cases within Project Blue Book. That group later released a report finding no evidence of UFO activity.

Project Blue Book was officially shuttered in 1969.

3. Many of the Project Blue Book cases appear open-and-shut

Though many credible sources, from Navy admirals to military and civilian pilots, reported seeing UFOs, most of the cases investigated by Project Blue Book were deemed caused by weather balloons, swamp gases, meteorological events or even temperature inversions.

In Seattle, Washington, in April 1956, a witness described seeing a “round, white object, one-half the size of the moon … [and] going round and round”, according to documents.

Investigators later concluded it was a meteor and closed the case.

In January 1961 in Newark, New Jersey, a witness reported viewing a dark grey object “about the size of a jet with no wings”.

That object was later deemed a jet aircraft flying in the area.

4. Some Project Blue Book cases aren’t so easily explained

According to Greenewald and Rojas, more than 700 Project Blue Book entries could not ultimately be explained by investigators. Many such cases cited insufficient data or evidence.

But even some of the closed cases raise more questions than answers for UFO researchers.

In one such example, a police officer in 1964 in Socorro, New Mexico, halted vehicular pursuit of a suspect after he saw a strange aircraft overhead.

The officer followed the craft – which he described as bearing a strange red insignia – and saw it land and two child-sized beings exit.

It later took off, leaving scorch marks and trace evidence on the ground.

“[Project] Blue Book labelled it unexplained; even after all these decades they still can’t explain it,” Greenewald says.

5. There is still information to be uncovered about UFO activity

Though Greenewald has amassed a stockpile of government documents, he says there are still many he – and the public – has not yet accessed.

One request to the National Security Agency yielded hundreds of pages, but they were so redacted only a few words were readable on each page, he says.

Other US government entities – including the Central Intelligence Agency and Defense Intelligence Agency – also conducted UFO investigations that have not been publicly released, Greenewald notes.

“I think Project Bluebook … is simply the tip of the iceberg,” he says, adding he will continue to request more information from the US government.

“There are secrets after conspiracies after scandals that continue to come out,” Greenewald concludes. “There’s always something to go after.”

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/top-secret-ufo-files-could-cause-grave-damage-to-us-national-security-if-released-navy-says/

In November 2004, several U.S. Navy pilots stationed aboard the USS Nimitz encountered a Tic-Tac-shaped UFO darting and dashing over the Pacific Ocean in apparent defiance of the laws of physics. Navy officials dubbed the strange craft an “unidentified aerial phenomenon,” but they have remained mum on what, exactly, that phenomenon could’ve been. Now, unsurprisingly to anyone who’s ever considered making a hat out of tinfoil, the military has confirmed they know more than they’re letting on.

In response to a recent Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, a spokesperson from the Navy’s Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) confirmed that the agency possesses several top-secret documents and at least one classified video pertaining to the 2004 UFO encounter, Vice reported

According to the ONI spokesperson, these documents were either labeled “SECRET” or “TOP SECRET” by the agencies that provided them, and that sharing the information with the public “would cause exceptionally grave damage to the National Security of the United States.”

The Secret of Project Blue Book

By

ABC News

January 7, 2006, 5:53 AM

Feb. 24, 2005 — — Today, if you ask the Air Force about UFOs, it will cite its own 22-year study called Project Blue Book, which said there is no evidence that they are extraterrestrial vehicles and there is no evidence that they represent technology beyond our own.

Blue Book, based at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, investigated hundreds of UFO reports yearly throughout the 1950s and 1960s.

But the truth is Blue Book never became a serious, full-scale, scientific inquiry. The main purpose of the Air Force’s UFO office was public relations, says Robert Goldberg, author of “Enemies Within: The Culture of Conspiracy in Modern America.”

“That mission was denouncing the UFOs, dismiss the UFOs, debunk the UFOs and anybody who believes in them — just come up with answers and get this UFO thing out of the newspapers,” he told ABC News.

Blue Book was far from a massive institute with a staff of white-coated lab technicians, said UFO researcher Mark Rodeghier. “There was a guy at a desk and a secretary and a private or someone there typing stuff. It was a very, very small project,” he said.

Explaining It Away

Blue Book may have done some investigating, but it was overwhelmed by the volume of reports that were coming in.

Col. Robert Friend, the project’s director from 1958 to 1963, told ABC News: “We wanted to explain as many sightings as possible, but we recognized that the amount of resources that would have been necessary in order to do this would have been far beyond those that we were ready to commit at the time.”

He also recognized Project Blue Book’s real purpose: “What they wanted to try to do was, I think, to re-educate the public regarding UFOs, to take away the aura of mystery.”

And the best way to keep UFOs out of the newspapers — and therefore, out of the public mind — was to say repeatedly that they were nothing more than weather balloons or rare atmospheric conditions, like a star on the horizon.

Insistent Scientist

The man most often responsible for making these explanations was Blue Book’s one civilian scientist, Ohio State University astronomer J. Allen Hynek. Between 1948 and 1969, he was the lead investigator on thousands of cases.

In interviews from that time, he insisted “there is no proof that I would consider valid scientific proof that we have been visited by spaceships.”

Michael Swords, a professor of natural science at Western Michigan University and UFO researcher says Hynek’s job “was to stretch his imagination to try to find explanations for every possible case he could, even if he knew it didn’t make any sense.”

In a 1965 interview with one witness, Hynek argued with a woman who said she saw a UFO, insisting it was a meteor.

She asked, “Don’t you think it would be kind of unusual for a meteor to just fall across the road and hover over there a minute and then drop to the ground?”

Hynek replied: “The coming over wouldn’t be bad. It’s the hovering that would bother me.”

Seeing Stars

Project Blue Book even dismissed a sighting by experienced military personnel on high alert during the middle of the Cold War.

On the night of Oct. 24, 1968, Mike O’Connor was dispatched to make a repair at a missile site at Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota.

En route, he says he saw a bright light “lift off the ground, and parallel us down the road, until we came to the missile site.” When he got out of the truck, the light “just kind of hovered there,” he said.

The Minot control tower diverted a B-52 to investigate. The navigator on the B-52, Capt. Patrick McCaslin, remembers what he saw on the radar screen: “This thing was climbing out with us and maintaining the same heading we were. That was unusual. But what really watered my eyes [was] when this thing backed away and allowed us to turn inside of it.”

Capt. Brad Runyon, the B-52’s co-pilot, says he remembers the “overall object was a minimum of 200 feet in diameter and it was hundreds of feet long.”

“It had a metallic cylinder attached to another section that was shaped like a crescent moon. I felt that this crescent moon part was probably the command center. I tried to look inside the thing, but all I could see was a yellow glow.”

He says at that point he was fairly sure it was an alien spaceship, and when the crew members returned to base, they reported their sighting.

According to Blue Book’s investigation, the crew of the B-52 and 16 witnesses on the ground said they saw a UFO that night. In its final report, Blue Book concluded that they were all probably just seeing stars.

The Converted

The Air Force finally got out of the business of trying to explain UFOs in 1969 and closed Project Blue Book after an independent commission concluded that UFOs were of no scientific interest.

But there was one loud, dissenting voice: Blue Book’s once-skeptical chief scientist, Allen Hynek. After more than 20 years and more than 12,000 investigations, Hynek had become a believer.

In an interview at the time, he recalled how embarrassing it had been to take UFO accounts from military pilots during Blue Book because the Air Force had trained those men.

“They could say civilian pilots might’ve been untrustworthy, but they could hardly say that of their own military pilots. And we got case after case after case from military pilots, which never hit the press,” he said.

Hynek spent the rest of his life investigating sightings and calling for a serious scientific inquiry into the UFO phenomenon. Most of his fellow scientists rejected his opinions.

In 1973, he founded the Center for UFO Studies in Chicago to conduct more research into alleged sightings. He died in 1986.

Amidst anxious anticipation by UFO buffs, Dr. Harley D. Rutledge, Ph.D., published his findings about UFOs in the Ozarks.  Dr. Rutledge was chairman of the Physics Department at Southeast Missouri University at Cape Girardeau.

After making an initial investigation in March 1973, discovering to his satisfactions that UFOs are indeed in the Ozarks, Rutledge requested funds on April 26, 1973 from several major newspapers.   The St. Louis Globe-Democrat responded.

While Dr. Rutledge’s Project Identification purports to have been a dispassionate study of UFOs (and the study is devoid of a lot of the mystical and sensational hysteria associated with the subject), the chapters are tinged with lively outbursts which could possibly betray a scientific study.   After Rutledge sighted mysterious UFOs on May 11, 1973, he says, “for more than a year, as I approached that particular episode during public lectures, I had difficulty dealing with the motion it stiffed.”   The May 11 incident was like other Project Identification episodes where ‘stars’ or ‘pseudo stars’ suddenly appear in the sky to scintillate and the suddenly ‘blink out.’   Some chapter headings are A Terribly Strange Night and A Second Terribly Strange Night.  Most of his ‘team’ consisted of fellow  students from the university.

Some of Rutledge’s cases seem to warrant more excitement.    One Thursday the Project team flew a Cessna 150 to Clark Mountain.  Rutledge observed an amber light along the slope of the mountain which blinked out.  As they approached the second light, it suddenly streaked upward at that Rutledge estimated to be “10,560 feet- per- second squared, or, 7.200 mile-s per -hour, 32-feet—per-second squared…,” a phenomenal act, especially in light of the fact that ‘flying saucer’ reports are typical of such fast acrobatics which are the basis of the so-called ‘‘UFO Mystery.”

Project Identification made approximately 160 sightings of UFOs—during which 700 photographs were taken.  No ‘Class A’ UFOs were able to be photographed (UFOs which had ‘’bizarre behavioral and/or physical properties that defy conventional explanation”).  Class “B” UFOs were recorded as photographic ‘wiggly’ or ‘gyrating’ lines across slide frames which demonstrate almost noting conclusive.

Observation of the unclouded night sky often revealed “pseudo stars” – stationary lights camouflaged by familiar constellations. Some objects appeared to mimic the appearance of known aircraft; others violated the laws of physics. The most startling discovery was that on at least 32 recorded occasions, the movement of the lights synchronized with actions of the observers. They appeared to respond to a light being switched on and off, and to verbal or radio messages

The belated UFO Study Group of the Greater St. Louis had members that made numerous trips to Elsberry, Missouri during a 1978 UFO-Animal mutilation ‘flap’ in that area.    Cameras with telescopic lenses also recorded ‘gyrating’ UFOs on slides remarkably like the Rutledge phenomena.   Interestingly, however, known, and identifiable aircraft produced ‘straight’ trails on the slides.    This seemed to add to the mystery.  However, much-later-crews went to the identical areas to again observe the same amber, orange of yellow bobbling, blinking lights which had been seen in 1978 (the ones which apparently made squiggles on film), and promptly were able to identify them as aircraft, many coming into or out of Lambert International Airfield, while other were ‘taxiing’ in a holding area over Winfield.   Many of the lights would suddenly ‘blink out.’  This latter investigative crew identified many as the ‘take-off’ light on passenger planes or other lights being ‘shut off,’ while the smaller fuselage lights never were discernable to the unaided eye at those distances.  The investigative crew theorized that some aircraft appeared as ‘straight lines’ because they were much closer; aircraft much further away showed on film  as the larger light on the crafts which demonstrated ‘wiggles’—possibly attributed to atmospherics, camera vibrations and air currents.

One of Dr. Rutledge’s photos from Cape Girardeau, however,  recorded what he called a “helix effect.’’

In my opinion every Ufologist with the means and drive should emulate all that Dr. Rutledge did and more importantly if the larger so-called UFO organizations would follow his blueprint with modern high-tech-equipment, we may just uncover some answers.

Not only was he a major inspiration for me to create “In The Field,”  but his work was unlike any other person that has entered this field before or after.   Ironically, there are still researchers who are unfamiliar with him and I find this mystifying for several reasons, but mostly for the casual interest that his groundbreaking work received.

In 1966, Harley Rutledge completed his Ph.D. in solid state physics at the University of Missouri. A short time later he took the position of Professor and Chairman of the Physics Department at Southeast Missouri State University. He became President of the Missouri Academy of Science. He was Department Chairman from 1964 through 1982 and retired from teaching in 1992.

The story began in February and March of 1973 when strange accounts began to trickle out of Piedmont, Missouri of people witnessing balls of light flying around and disrupting car engines and televisions. Soon numerous people from all over began to flock to the area hoping to catch a glimpse of these anomalous balls of light. The local TV station and newspapers covered it extensively, mostly drenched in sarcasm with a few roughly criticizing the locals as uncultured.

Dr. Harley Rutledge said, “Unbiased, disinterested physical scientists usually measure the properties of inanimate matter.   Biological, medical, and behavioral scientists, on the other hand, study intelligences less than or equal to their own. In this Project, we dealt with an intelligence equal to or greater than that of man. We interacted with the phenomenon under study.”

The strange events in the small town of approx. 2,000 people was all everyone was talking about and groups of people gathered outside at night to witness these mysterious lights. One night an excited woman on a local news show displayed some photos she had taken of the lights and the next morning this prompted two of Dr. Rutledge’s colleagues to jokingly suggest that he go and investigate these UFOS in Piedmont.  He laughed and said, “I wouldn’t touch that with a ten-foot pole!”  Less than 2 weeks later he would change his mind completely.

At the time of the sightings Dr. J. Allen Hynek was active in his investigations and made a trip to Piedmont to investigate what was going on. He was contacted and invited by State Representative Jerry Howard through Police Chief Gene Bearden because of the frequency & number of sightings.  He stated, “We ourselves didn’t see anything, but that’s to be expected……but we found a great number of highly excited people”. Pointing out the power of suggestion he implied that people were seeing lights from observation towers…..”You have to disregard any light on the horizon” he said.

I believe this was a large, missed opportunity for Hynek and if he had not so hastily made a judgement and left, his story would have been much different. Surely if he teamed up with Rutledge and spent some time out there he would have observed these bizarre lights, but this was not to be.

On April 6th, 1973 Dr. Rutledge, Prof. Milton Ueleke and both of their their wives made the trip to Piedmont to be briefed on what was going on by Dennis Hovis who ran the local radio station where many of the sightings were reported. During the conversation Hovis was interrupted by listeners that were phoning in sightings reports. Dr. Rutledge thought that obviously this radio station was the real “Piedmont UFO Headquarters”.
Within a few minutes another call came in and when Mr. Hovis returned he excitedly explained “There’s been a UFO landing on Clark’s Mountain….This high school boy with his parents saw it and they are reliable!”
Rutledge agreed to go, but as he got in the car he turned to Prof. Ueleke and said “Milton, this could be a big put-on for our benefit.”

This report turned out to be a local pilot who had dropped down behind the mountain and shut his lights off, creating the illusion that something was landing.

With no success they drove back to town and had dinner with a local couple who were friends of the Ueleke’s. Over the meal they decided to visit another spot called Pyle’s Mountain which was an area with earlier reports. It was at this spot with his telescope that Dr. Rutledge made his first observations of these strange lights and he described them this way…”: Less than an hour had elapsed on Pyle’s Mountain when a small stationary light suddenly appeared near the southern horizon. After locating and centering the light in the telescope on 8X, Rutledge attempted to view the light on a higher power, but before I could focus properly, the light went out. It had been visible for about 5 seconds. At intervals of several minutes, the light appeared 3 more times, but in a different position each time.”

He was finally able to catch it magnified at 80X when it remained visible for 20 seconds and described it as a stationary ball of light that didn’t just shut off, but “decayed” as a powerful tungsten bulb does when the power is cut.

Prof. Ueleke stated his opinion that he thought they were just viewing car headlights in the distance, but Dr. Rutledge disagreed completely and devised a plan to show that this theory was not the answer.  The very next week he hired a pilot who happened to be a university student majoring in physics, to fly a Cessna 150 over the area to look for a road to use to prove his point.  They located an old logging road and returned that night to observe the area. Once they were in the air they could quickly see the lights of the town when suddenly an amber/orange light appeared on the slope of the mountain near the top. The pilot turned the aircraft and made a beeline towards it, but within seconds it went out. Simultaneously another one came on several hills away and the pilot banked towards this one. Through the binoculars, Dr. Rutledge said it looked to be awfully close to the earth’s surface, possibly on it and as they got closer to it suddenly shot straight up and out of view. Rutledge stated “My interest took a decided leap after those two sightings from the Cessna 150. But although the appearance and behavior of the two lights were perplexing, I did not accept them as UFO’s at the time.”

This launched into what would become “Project Identification” and would span from 1973 until 1980. A total of 158 viewing stations were setup all over the area and the sky was watched for 427 hours. There were 620 observers over the years and 378 were Project observers. Not included are the many hours Project members observed the sky when not present at a station. There were 157 sightings of 178 UFO’s and the behaviors that they observed have all been recorded by different members of “In The Field” in the present day. Some examples are what Dr. Rutledge called “Pseudo stars” and this is when they will hover in place, sometimes for a long period of time to blend in with the stars and then suddenly move off or blink out. Another example would be something Rutledge did not observe, but many told him they had witnessed it and that would be a ball of light cruising over an area and dropping a smaller lit object down to the surface, usually a wooded area. Several members of ITF have caught this on video and it is obvious that they have some type of agenda and are intelligently controlled.

The advantages we have today are extremely better for observing and gathering data from these sightings, yet it has not happened except in sporadic individual cases with “Active Observers” like us. Not only is our equipment far more advanced than in the 70’s such as night vision, telescopes, cameras, or spectrometers, but to communicate with others and move in on a repeat, active area (Flap) would be swift.

Unfortunately this has happened in a few cases, where an area was highly active and was reported over and over yet ignored and even scorned at without any observation by laptop critics. Meanwhile the larger so-called UFO organizations are posting videos or photos of lens flares and insects, yet this actual UFO activity is clearly ignored. They need to take a good long look at what this man achieved or what we at ITF are trying to achieve and follow suit….follow the Rutledge Blueprint…

Rutledge said: “A relationship, a cognizance, between us and the UFO intelligence evolved. A game was played. In my opinion, this additional consideration is more important than the measurements or establishing that the phenomena exists.   This facet of the UFO phenomena perturbed me as much as the advanced technology we observed. It is a facet I cannot really fathom – and I have thought about it every day for more than 7 years.”

At 2 a.m. in March 1967 on a farm about 4 miles west of New Baden, Leona Boeving saw a UFO in a field near her house.

In a Belleville News-Democrat story by reporter Michelle Meehan from August 9, 1992, Boeving said, “It was like the full moon was cut in half standing on the ground.”

“It had a bright white light on top and then a whole row of little red lights at the bottom. There were these metallic things around it, like strips of silver,” Boeving said.

She woke her daughter, Marilee Black, who was staying with her.

In a July 2017 interview, Black said, “Yes, I remember it. All I have to do is close my eyes to picture the thing.”

“It was round and large even from where we stood in the house. It was something I had never seen before,” Black said.

She could not see anyone inside it, only the bright lights coming from it.

They watched it for a few minutes. “Then, my mother opened the window.  Suddenly, it lifted and went south.  If it made a sound, we didn’t hear it,” Black said.

Terrified, Boeving and Black remained in the house until morning. “It was just scary,” Black said.

When they explored the field, Black said the heat from the object left burn marks on the ground. “Nothing grew there for quite a while,” Black said.

Boeving called Scott Air Force Base, which is about 7 miles from the farm, for an explanation.

Black said, “They knew nothing and could say nothing about it. I guess it didn’t fly from the base.”

Black has seen nothing unexplained since that time and is fine with that. “I don’t ever want to see it or anything like it again,” Black said. “It was frightening; it really was.”

In the 1992 BND article by Meehan, Boeving is quoted as saying, “There were a lot of people who, to this day, think we were crazy. But I’ll tell you, I was the biggest non-believer there was. I probably still would be — if I hadn’t seen it myself.”

Not all the lights seen at Elsberry could be identified to everyone’s satisfaction, however.   For instance, a stationary ‘star’ seen on June 25, 1978 that  remained so for over fifteen-minutes  or longer,  suddenly began to bob and weave in a circular pattern.  The UFO then  moved in a wide arc  heading  eastward over the Mississippi River as seen through the tree line.  Surprisingly, it doubled-back towards three witnesses stationed on a farmer’s field.  There was no sound at all.  The witnesses  estimated the craft to be at  a 2,000 feet level.  It came directly over the farmer’s field and witnesses, banked directly over them, and then headed back out over the river.    It appeared to be a lighted fuselage with passenger windows.   As it left the area, a red strobe light seemed to have been turned on.   A very peculiar and uncharacteristic airplane.

On July 16, 1978, over ten people were suddenly surprised  by lights that seemed to ‘pop’ onto the scene of Highway V and W, momentarily hovering (or seemed to)  and then ‘drift’ off  (these were photographed).   Others  insisted these were regular airplanes.

Rutledge would have felt vindicated by these sightings, it would seem.  However, the more skeptical investigators feel a rigorous study in aircraft identification is  needed.

Rutledge would feel vindicated by these sightings, it would seem.  However, the more skeptical investigators feel a rigorous study in aircraft identification is needed:

**  Field crews consisting of aeronautic engineers, flight operation managers, aircraft pilots, and FAA specialists jointly observing UFOs at night and consensually giving their opinion as to identity.   Pilots, amateur astronomers, aircraft technicians often aren’t able to singularly identify the behavior or appearance of airplanes or helicopters.

**  Experts specializing in ‘nocturnal aerial photography’  are needed:  we have found that opinions as to what is ‘photographed’ in the night sky and  ‘why it appears on film as it does,’ are as varied and entangled as the dispute as to what ‘lights’ constitute UFOs and which one don’t.

Rutledge admitted that much study is necessary.    The team used radar and other electronic scanning (some of it was never removed, however, from Rutledge’s home office).   One of the findings was the recording on color film the spectrum of a UFO using an objective blazed diffraction grating—but Rutledge does not say one word as to what was discovered.   Perhaps, then, it was really nothing.

Rutledge did not, however, insinuate that space people are involved; he entertained the possibility that UFOs are little known manmade inventions.   He talked about German research on ‘flying discs’ in 1941, and about PRVs (Remotely Controlled Vehicles) which resembled spinning discs which “hardly make a sound.”

As Logician Peter Kor stated in his article The Tue Inquirer: “The process of discovering reality depends on a rigorous rationality.  Intense focus on any matter will produced countless apparent connections and confirmations.  Without a rigorous approach, these will be accepted as probable proof of truth, rather than mere possibilities that should be tested.”

If Project Identification could have been expanded into a perpetual, thorough team, into a broad range of experts and equipment in weekly or daily trips into UFO areas, possibly the problem of UFO identification would have become less of a will-of-the-wisp.

On March 5th, 2021, I composed a short essay and sent it to a groups of UFO investigators. My comments were regarding the current global UFO situation and a sense of “Creeping Joe UFO Disclosure” slowly unfolding in Washington, DC. I wrote:

Subject: Huge Spheres Videoed Over Las Vegas

Thank you for the link to the Las Vegas  UFO and your questions about the LV UFOs.

Here is a message with videos that I received this week from Capt. Robert Collins (USAF- Ret) related to UFOs videoed over Las Vegas sent by Steve Barrone.

A Pair of Slow-Moving White Spheres Moving East

I’m not sure if it is the same one, but I am sure that they are related to the unveiling of the US Space Force and the slow UFO Disclosure process that we’re going through, which seems aimed for July 1st through July 4th for the “Big Reveal.”

I think that these overt “fly-bys” are synched with the US Senate-driven UFO Disclosure <organized by Senator Marco Rubio last December> that is part of a long scheduled “Slow UFO Disclosure,” which may be following the pattern for revealing extraterrestrial presence in global affairs as described according the plan described by Arthur C. Clark in “Childhood’s End” wherein a 50-year long disclosure process is followed by world governments before the Alien Presence finally reveals itself.

We are now at the end of a similar multi-decade long UFO disclosure process initiated by the CIA in the mid 1960s, which is apparently approaching culmination now as we approach July 1st and slow UFO related revelations in those days following.

First of all, I would like to thank all for circulating these LV pictures of the spheres.  There is however one thing that stands out in my mind regarding those pictures of the spheres that may or may not be of importance.

Back in 1970 while a Quartermaster in the US Coast Guard and on our way back from a deployment in Vietnam, I along with my Captain, the Officer of the Deck (OOD) and my Chief (Quartermaster) were involved with shooting “Morning Stars” (a navigational activity) that takes place about 1/2 hour before sunrise local time).

The Captain and OOD were using their Sextants and my chief and I were hacking with stop watches while the selected navigational stars were being acquired.

We were on the starboard bridge wing of the ship and on a course of approximately 080 degrees true making speed of about 15 kts.  We were also about a day and a half out of Guam heading back to Honolulu (our home port).  At this time we observed a large “mercury” colored, spherically shaped object closing on us from the front on a reciprocal course (heading roughly 260 degrees true) with a speed of probably 100 mph and at an altitude of between 500 and 1000′.

What I would like to highlight is that with the naked eye, the object was perfectly clear with sharply defined features (I.e., spherical shape and all sea and sky conditions perfectly reflected).  Again, the object had perfect reflectivity with the upper portion showing the blue sky above with some small fluffy clouds and the bottom portion of the sphere reflecting perfectly the blue, south Pacific ocean and capturing the slight chop in the water caused by 5 knot winds.  Cloud cover at the time was about 15%.

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is joseph-foster-daylight-sphere-sighting.png

The reflectivity of the sphere was perfect, at least to the naked eye.  I believe this daylight sighting was classic, unfortunately there were only 5 of us (the lookout on the flying bridge was the 5th crew member) that observed the object.  Even though we had two other sightings onboard this ship while I was part of the crew, there was only one sighting that was reported “formally.” This one unfortunately was not it.

My captain was the Senior Captain (O6) in the Coast Guard at the time and my ship was one of the newest High Endurance cutters with me being part of the first crew after the pre-commissioning detail.

Unfortunately, none of us had a camera that morning so a good photographic record would not be captured.  Being that we were on the starboard side of the ship (right), when the object passed us at its closest point (500 to 1000′) and it passed us to the Port Side, we did not get a perfectly clear view (because of mast, bridge and rigging, etc.) and I am sure that it would have been a photograph of epic importance (in my estimation).

My final thought however is that the pictures of the UFO spheres showed the “haziness” surrounding the objects that I believe would be some form of plasma field, perhaps associated with a propulsion system.  The camera obviously was able to capture that aspect however, it is also my belief that this type of spherical craft (similar to the one we observed), when seen with the naked eye would look quite different because to the naked eye, the field surrounding such a craft might not be observed (like our sighting) than if it  were captured with a camera.  Perhaps this feedback may have some utility.

GULF OF THAILAND SIAM
The Gulf of Thailand (also called the Sea of Siam) was the site of a USO passage beneath CGC 717

One day, while stationed in the Gulf of Siam, our crew was given leave to engage in recreational swimming. A shark net was deployed and the crewmen began diving off the cutter and swimming out to a raft that was deployed for the swimmers. I was on the bridge watching the swimming activities when suddenly I saw a huge submerged black object, approaching slowly (at about 2-3 knots) from the starboard side of the cutter only to disappear beneath the ship. l went to the port side with plenty of time to see the object pass at least 18 feet below the waterline of the cutter, swimmers, the shark net, and the raft.

As this USO (Unidentified Submerged Object) emerged on the other side of the cutter, I discerned that it was at least 100 feet in length and 30-40 feet in width. It showed no fins, rudder nor discernible source of propulsion. Our ship was anchored, facing the bow to the North, as the huge black object (about 1/3 the size of our ship) passed from East to West beneath the cutter and the swimmers in complete silence with no sounds of engines or any other sounds to attract attention or disturb the swimmers who did not react to its passage.

Facsimile of Tear-Drop Shaped USO that passed beneath the hull of CGC 717 in the Sea of Siam

It was I then that observed the shape of a large tear-drop shaped object continue to move on and off the the East where it slowly disappeared from view.

Although we had no sharks to contend with, the following video will give the reader an idea of the situation during the recreational swimming session when this passed beneath our ship and crew.

The thought crossed my mind that it might have been a whale, but it’s tear-drop shape with no tail, no discernible undulating motion or any sign of propulsion eliminated that possibility altogether. referring to the classic Janes’ Fighting Ships, we tried to find a similar shape in known submarines of the world, but nothing even close was to be found. So the submerged object remains for me a classic USO, or Unidentified submerged Object.

In a recent email to the editor, Joe Foster wrote:

I see that you previously flew out of Brookhaven airport.

By any chance have you ever flown out of the East Hampton airport.  I lived in East Hampton for several years on a local farm (my folks moved around a bit) between 1949 and 1954 or so.  In 1954, my folks took myself and my young sister to a drive-in movie theater located in Bridge Hampton on the old Montauk highway.  It was during a movie we were watching that we observed a rapidly zig-zagging, bright white point of light (greater in magnitude than any star).

After making 3 distinct right angle movements, it disappeared behind the movie screen.  The orientation of the screen to the best of my recollection was facing in a westerly direction towards Brookhaven National Labs that was probably about 30 miles away.  In your travels, have you heard of any other similar sightings on Long Island (extremely fast moving, zig-zagging objects displaying movements that would be extreme with great “G” force activity (at least in our state of physics)?  Of course, a lot of the physics that are currently making the rounds these days would probably indicate much of what Jack Sarfatti has been discussing.

I just thought that I would share this with you.  I did document this event. Also, in this email I have attached a couple of other slides that I have used.  In order they are:

1)  The rendition of the daylight sphere event when doing “Morning Stars” while in the CG.  I tried to represent the object and the sky and sea conditions however, it is not perfect but it does show pretty much what we observed at the time.

2)  The next is a crop circle that showed up on a farm that I lived on as a child (the crop circle showed up in 2002, my family’s sighting was in July of 1958).  This is my story of “synchronicity”.  In the summer of 1958, we observed our first daylight sphere that was flying lazily along what we know as the “Navy Road” (actual name is Normandy road) that is owned and used by the US Navy to move munitions to and from ships in Raritan bay and the storage facilities about 13 miles to the south (Colts Neck).

This road has been used for years to move nuclear and conventional weapons.  It has also had more than its share of UFO activity including a landing about a mile or so away from the Earle pier facilities in Leonardo.  ( I will share the article from the local newspaper along with a picture of a circular flattened area of swamp grass.

  2. Nike Ajax site NY-53 (adjacent to the Navy Road – Leonardo, NJ) blew up killing 10 men – 6 soldiers 4 civilians – May 22, 1958
  3. My daylight sphere sighting of object flying south towards weapons storage area (Dorbrook Farm) New Jersey – July 1958
  4. UFO Landing about a mile or so from the Earle Navy pier facility in Leonardo – 2 week period of UFO sightings and landing – July 1970
  5. Nike Hercules site NY-56 (Fort Hancock – Sandy Hook) – the only time warheads armed for intercept in history of site – July 1970
  6. Corroboration of my original sighting by another witness 2 miles away – UFO reported landing in swampy area of Swimming River – 1995
  7. Crop circle (article attached) – 200 yards behind where my house was during the 1958 daylight sphere sighting – July 2002 (article)

The next event of which we spoke yesterday was the sighting that I had while shooting “Morning Stars” while onboard my ship (Coast Guard Cutter Mellon – WHEC717) while returning from a Westpac deployment to Vietnam – June 1970.  Slide is a representation of what we observed as described in my original email.  Picture of object was added (with Photoshop) just to give a rough idea of scale and the sky and sea conditions at the time of the sighting.

I will follow up with another email and pics for several other events that took place while in the CG.

Hybrid Humans & Saurian Traits

Hybrid Humans & Saurian Traits

By Rob Messchendorp

Hybrids were born and bred into the human race to create a best of both worlds being. At first this was done through medical means via Annunaki genetic bio-engineering.

The real history of Mankind’s hybrid origins was revealed by the recent deciphering and translation of an ancient Sumerian cylinder scroll entitled “The Instructions of Enki.’

The Instructions of Enki & The Creation of Adam

As generations passed, it became easier for direct coupling and breeding between hybridized Saurian trait-carrying humans with high percentage of reptoid DNA to create viable fertile offspring.

These offspring would have had the genetic memory of their reptoid lineage. These offspring were instructed about their heritage at an early age and educated appropriately.

THE REPTILIAN-HUMAN CONNECTION
By John Rhodes 1994

http://www.reptoids.com/Vault/ArticlesClassics.htm

In our time, more modern hybrid offspring who are unaware of the Saurian traits they carry from generations past often experience a sense of “Othernesss,” or “not belonging.”

A mundane yet observatory position in society where the day to day living of humans seems almost hive-like in hits behavior. These Saurian hybrid offspring often question their own place in the world and begin their search to find their purpose.

Some find others like themselves and live happy and rich lives. Others continue to dig and explore the alternative.

Was the Garden of Eden a Genetic Laboratory?

Saurian Traits

A hybrid offspring has the ability to carry numerous Saurian traits.

Among these traits, to name just a few are:

  1. RH Negative blood type (A-, B-, O-);
  2. Gold, green or blue eyes;
  3. Higher sensitivity to electromagnetic fields;
  4. Heightened extrasensory perception;
  5. Foresight;
  6. Telepathy/Gleaning;
  7. Enhanced empathy and projection.

Some hybrids carry one of these traits or possibly two. The more of these traits a being carries within, the more difficult it is for such people to feel connected within society as others simply do not understand the way hybrids think, feel or operate.

These feelings are normal and there are more of us than you realize. All you must do is reach out and discover such other beings for yourself.

Major Witnesses  Dying Off in Strange Ways

As They Did in the Aftermath of the JFK Assassination

By Robert Morningstar

The Las Vegas Massacre is the worst gun related killing in the modern history of the United States. The nation is in shock.  The questions are many, the answers from authorities are few and not satisfactory or responsive to the many important questions being posed by the public and the press.

One of the primary questions is whether or not Stephen Paddock had help in carrying out the massacre.  Was he part of a wider plot?  Many witnesses and survivors of the shooting claim to have seen more than one shooter and to have heard more than one gun shooting at times simultaneously with distinctly different sounds and rates of gunfire and muzzle sounds.

The logistics of the attack also suggest that Paddock had help as a few hundreds of pounds in weapons, ammo and explosives were involved and very few people believe that Paddock (age 64) could have accomplished all the things he is said to have done to prepare his room for the attack, including lugging more moe than 20 weapons of various types, plus thousands of rounds of ammo and even high powered explosives in his car.

Meanwhile, authorities seem dumbfounded and slow (or loath) to react to eyewitnesses’ accounts while they are still  “floating” 2nd shooter debunking stories.

For example, The Sheriff said October 4th that what the videos show, i.e. capturing a 2nd shooter, was actually a strobe light or reflections. “It was a strobe light” mistaken for machine gun fire, or that people were “mistaking reflections from the windows of the hotel” for rifle fire.

The purpose of this article is to prove that what the witnesses and survivors claim to have seen and heard during that horrible ordeal was true and accurate:

There were multiple gunmen, at least 4, shooting up Las Vegas that terrible night, October 1st, 2017.  Two were shooting from the Manadalya Bay Hotel and the others attacked the front entrances of the Bellagio, Tropicana, Planet Earth, Hustler’s, and the Flamingo Hotel.

 Astronomy & Astrology of October 1st, 2017

With regard to astronomy & astrology, what we have on October 1st in the sky over Las Vegas was the approaching Harvest Moon (an ancient pagan feast day) and when viewed from the concert arena, the unique sight of the alignment of the star “VEGA” in the constellation Lyra in transit stationed precisely above the Black Pyramid at the time of the attacks .

The Star Vega:

Etymology and Cultural Significance

The term Al Nesr al Waki appeared in the Al Achsasi al Mouakket star catalogue and was translated into Latinas Vultur Cadens, “the falling eagle/vulture”.

The constellation was represented as a vulture in ancient Egypt, and as an eagle or vulture in ancient India.

The Arabic name then appeared in the western world in the Alfonsine Tables,[97] which were drawn up between 1215 and 1270 by order of Alfonso X.[98] Medieval astrolabes of England and Western Europe used the names Wega and Alvaca, and depicted it and Altair as birds.[99]Each night the positions of the stars appear to change as the Earth rotates. However, when a star is located along the Earth’s axis of rotation, it will remain in the same position and thus is called a pole star. The direction of the Earth’s axis of rotation gradually changes over time in a process known as the precession of the equinoxes. A complete precession cycle requires 25,770 years,[100] during which time the pole of the Earth’s rotation follows a circular path across the celestial sphere that passes near several prominent stars.

At present the pole star is Polaris, but around 12,000 BC the pole was pointed only five degrees away from Vega.  Through precession, the pole will again pass near Vega around AD 14,000.[101] It is the brightest of the successive northern pole stars.[11]

Small white disks representing the northern stars on a black background, overlaid by a circle showing the position of the north pole over time

The path of the north celestial pole among the stars due to the precession.

Vega is the bright star near the bottom. Since anicent times, Vega has represented a predator, an eagle or a “Falling Vulture.”  Vultures feed on carrion, i.e. dead flesh. Vultures also prefer open fields for preying.

Aerial view of Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas, Nevada.

I’ve corellated the videos linked below with this external photos of the hotel to triangulate the postion of the 2nd Mandalay Bay Hotel shooter who fired from a low platform atop the green roof porch shown above.

There were no broken windows in that area of the hotel.  Using the POV of the Taxi Driver as she was aligned with the corner of the roof structure that covers the drive through access road to determine the position of the 2nd shooter.  Below is video proof exposing the postion of the shooter(s):

The Las Vegas Taxi Driver’s Video caught a shooter firing from the lower floor of the Mandalay Bay from a very close vantage point, i.e., pulling out of the Mandalay’s Drive-Though entrance.

I believe that this is indisputable proof and is consonant with the 1st video that I posted on Facebook & Twitter earlier, i.e. the stable video shot from the hotel across the street.  I’ve compiled all the links together below.

1-  Las Vegas Shooting- The Taxi Driver’s Video

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEf7HObspB0

 Compare with:

2 – Video from the hotel across the street.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gywc58Bxxc8

By freezing a clear frame of video taken by the Taxi Driver’s at the very moment when the camera captured the first muzzle flash and a section of the roof structure covering the hotel’s passenger drop-off entrance with external photos of the Mandalay Bay Hotel (see Aerial view of Mandalay Bay above),

By using the the cornered angles of the canopy roof structure that covers the hotel’s passenger drop-off area and overhangs /toward the exit road I was able to determine with precision the exact position of the vehicle and the camera angle to the shooter,

and thereby, place the shooter on the balcony that crowns the entrance, above and behind the “Green rooftop” seen in the arieal photo of the Mandalay Bay.

By comparing frames and correlating the driver’s position and the camera angle to the shooter’s position (indicated by the gun flash) in that frame, and using a triangular section of the unique roof (poviding two 90 degree angles for precise referencing,  I was able to calculate the shooter’s position to be outside the hotel and shooting from a balcony that covers the drive-through entrance of the hotel.

This explaiins how there would be NO broken windows on that level or that side of the hotel. However, windows are NO PROBLEM when the SHOOTER was standing OUTSIDE on a the balconuy of the roof that covers the entrance to Mandalay Bay.

3-  Crowd Scene and Sounds of 2 Automatic Weapons Fired at Same Time

BETWEEN TIME MARK 4:39 AND 4:52, WE CAN HEAR THE SOUNDS OF TWO (2) SEPARATE AND DISTINCTLY DIFFERENT AUTOMATIC WEAPONS, EACH FIRING AT A DIFFERENT RATE OF FIR, ONE FASTER THAN THE OTHER.

THE SOUNDS COMING FROM ONE OF THE WEAPONS ARE LOUDER (WITH A DEEPER SOUNDING REPORT, INDICATIVE OF A HIGHER CALIBER WEAPON) AND ONE SOUNDS MUCH CLOSER THAN THE OTHER.

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muiHkkbPpdU

(Posted by Arch Angel Studios – Published on Oct 5, 2017)

Listen to the audio closely and study the characteristics of the sounds that were recorded between Time Mark 4:39 and 4:52.  We can clearly hear the sounds of TWO (2) separate and distinct automatic weapons, each firing at a different rate of fire, one faster than the other.

The sounds coming from one of the weapons is distinctly louder (with the deeper sound of a higher caliber weapon than a .223 caliber/556 mm round).

Furthermore, one gun sounds much closer to the crowd in the scene than the other other weapon, which can be heard in the distance

If the listener plays the Arch Angel video sequence above (from 4:39 to 4:52), he will hear both guns firing at the same time.  The sounds and rhythm heard in the bursts of shots in different sequences are distinct in sound and with a different and disparate rate of fire to be heard between the 2 guns, one automtatic weapon firing much faster than the other.

The video proceeds with the sounds of sporadic fire in the far distance, but then again at time mark 12:33, we can hear the sudden and loud crackling of 2 automatic weapons firing simultaneously, which once again present distinctly different sounds to human ear and the discordant sequence of the firing proves again as in the previous section (4:39 to 4:52) that 2 guns are firing together simultaneously.

However, let’s study this video and take note of  this very interesting detail:

In the sequence, (starting at 12:33) both guns begin to fire almost at the same moment (as if being directed by radio from a central coordinating command).

However, the difference in sounds prove (acoustically) that we are hearing 2 fully automatic weapons of different caliber and firing at different distances from the targt area and recording device.and the racket of  the 2 sounds clashing with each other, with an irregular pattern of mixed sounds, differing in intensity and in frequency of fire as they hammer out shots that are out of sequence with each other,

Lobby Virtual Tour

Below is a report by contributor, Alexandra Bruce (Forbidden Knowledge TV), regarding the reported “lock-down” of the Bellagio Hotel shown in the video below.

Alexandra Bruce wrote:

“I was alerted about this video by a subscriber whose brother drives a limousine in Las Vegas.  He’s spoken to several other drivers and bellmen at the Bellagio, the Flamingo and other hotels surrounding Mandalay Bay.  All reported that their lobbies were shot up last Sunday night.

This indicates that more than one gunman was involved in the horrifying events that evening.

My subscriber wrote,

“The hotels were on lockdown and shattered glass was all over the floors. A friend of his posted a video of the Bellagio lobby and people sitting in corridors because they were not allowed to leave…this was a coordinated effort.”

She was referring to the cellphone video above. It was taken from inside the Las Vegas Bellagio hotel and live streamed by René Downs to her Facebook account at 1:52 AM on Monday, October 2nd, a couple of hours after the Las Vegas shooting. By Wednesday night, over 1 M people had viewed this on Facebook. René’s comment on this video post is:

“This was NOT all done by 1 shooter. Watch til end. News and LVPD are not reporting this correctly.”

Yournewswire.com reports:

The full Las Vegas police dispatch scanner audio has been released by Broadcastify, and it proves that first responder police confirmed that Stephen Paddock was not a lone wolf gunman, but received assistance from “multiple shooters at multiple locations.”

The scanner audio reveals that police received many reports from witnesses saying multiple people were shooting, and that Mandalay Bay security informed them there were shots fired from “floors 29 and 32.”

Besides the many eyewitness reports from members of the public, a police officer also urgently confirmed that there were at least two active shooters in the Mandalay Bay.

CONFIRMED there are at least 2 shooters with fully automatic weapons,” a police officer reported at 18:54 in the recording.

Multiple scenes then developed across Las Vegas, with police reporting and confirming multiple active shooters at the Tropicana and New York, New York Hotel-Casino (NY, NY).

CONFIRMED – Giles and Alibaba, casualties, East of the Catholic Shrine. SO WE HAVE TWO SCENES!,” said another officer at 38:30 in the recoding, confirming that there were casualties at Giles and Alibaba, a location out of range of Stephen Paddock’s gunfire from the Mandalay Bay.

The Cryptic Charger

One of the unusual items discovered in Steven Paddock’s room was an electric  charger that did not belong to the deceased.  The FBI seized the charger and traced it to a man named John Beilman who lived inFairport, New York, a suburb of Rochester.

New York News Day reports:

“According to this report, upon the FBI searching the Mandalay Bay Hotel room used by CIA gun runner Stephen Paddock, a cell phone charger was discovered that had no accompanying phone—with SVR technology experts noting that this type of charger is used to charge a CP502520 3.0V 600mAh Li-MnO2 Non-rechargeable Thin Cell Battery used in various communication devices by both US Special Forces and CIA forces.

The company making this unique lithium battery, this report details, is Ultralife Corporation, based in Newark, New York, that specializes in military communications systems for the Pentagon—and whose lead engineer for this particular communication systems development was John Beilman.

Listing himself as a “product design and manufacturing professional”, this report continues, John Beilman was employed by Ultralife Corporation between 2007-2012 where he worked on various top-secret communications systems for the US military—thereafter his leaving to become a top engineer at the General Motors research facility located in Rochester New York.”

“Fearing that Ultralife Corporation had been secretly funneling their US military communications systems to the CIA, this report notes, this past Tuesday (3 October), the FBI raided the home of John Beilman under a secret US Federal Court warrant—and that caused Beilman, less than 12 hours later, during the early morning hours of Wednesday (4 October), to wheel out his severely disabled daughter Nicole into his home’s backyard where she was executed, with Beilman then killing himself too …

And that was followed 48 hours later (6 October) by the Pentagon awarding Ultralife Corporation new contracts valued at over $49 million.

Investigators searched Beilman’s Fairport home the day before he shot his severely disabled daughter and himself, according to sources close to the investigation.

Agents executed a search warrant and raided Beilman’s Williamsburg Drive home the day before he took his daughter, Nicole, into the backyard and shot her and then himself in the back of the head with a 12-gauge shotgun.John Beilman’s 27-year-old daughter, Nicole, had Rett Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder.Nicole Beilman relied upon a wheelchair and was dependent on her parents for care.” — New York News Day

In Conclusion

In closing,  I would state (unequivocally) that The Las Vegas massacre, the worst gun assault carried out against modern day America, was a well-planned terrorist act in which at least 2 shooters fired on a helpless crowd from the environs of the Mandalay Bay Hotel while at least 2 other gunmen (with drivers) attacked the Bellagio, New York, New Yorkand Flamingo Hotelswhich lie not too far away from the Mandalay Bay Hotel, about 1 and quarter miles away in the case of Bellagio.

“The terrorists used a method of assault that reveals a coordinated attack that is typical of Al-Queda, ISIS and The Zetas (the nefarious Mexican contract killers and narcotraffickers), all of whom are driven by an inveterate hatred of the United States and the American people.”

The Zetas? …

Who KNEW?

The reader may well ask: “Why the ‘Zetas’?”  Let us not forget nor overlook the importance and the implications of the  loud altercation altercation that occurred in the front of the crowd 45 minutes before the shooting began when a couple, a man and a woman,  were thrown out of the venue because they had been arguing vociferously with some other fans, during which time they repeatedly yelled at people in the audience, warning (or were they threatening?) them:

“Everyone is going to die!  You’re all going to die tonight!”

As reported by the Daily Mail:

“Brianna Hendricks, who attended the Route 91 Harvest Festival with her mother to celebrate her 21st birthday, described the moment a woman screamed “they’re all around…you’re all going to fucking die today,”

“There was a lady who pushed her way forward into the concert venue and into the first row, and she started messing with another lady, and told us that we were all going to die tonight,” Hendricks told KSNV.

“It was about 45 minutes before the shots were actually fired,” she continued. “But then she was escorted out by security.”

Hendricks and her mother left the concert before the shooting began, and heard the shots ring out just as they returned to their room.

“Obviously she was telling us that — either to warn us, or to warn us that we were all going to die and she was part of it,” Hendricks added.

Hendricks described the woman and a man she was with as Hispanic and about 5-foot-5.

When asked why the pair had been escorted out, Hendricks replied: “Because she had been messing with the lady in front of her and telling her that she was going to die. That we were all going to die.”

*******

This sounds to me like an intentionally staged event. The Hispanic lady began “mussin” with another lady’s hair.  There is a video on YouTube showing this unusual event fom a distance and it appears that it was loud, and confrontal, but not violent.  The video shows  that a lady in front row had her hair up in a bun and the person in question began to push on her hair bun with her hand in an annoying way.  That’s when the fracas broke out, turned to shouting, aand a bi of shoving but without intensity as he woman’s partner, a man staning outside the reestraining fence and not standing in the audience. The shouting grows louder with the Hispanic woman uttering her warnings (or threatsz) ultimately bringing a security detail to stop the altercation by ejecting the couple, the Hispanic woman an her companion, and escorting them out of the venue withot any resistance or protest.

The shooting began about 45 mnutes later.  The scene appeared to be theatrical, as if it had been a skit already practiced and rehearsed right down to the calling of the security detail to escort them safely out of the venue as if nothing had happened, and strange even more, was that the security officer walk out leading to the exit with his back to the couple

Multiple eyewitnesses to the scene rendered the same or a similar description.  Those 2 people were not an Arabic couple, but an Hispanic-looking couple.

Ssheriff Lombard is asked a question relating to the Gunman’s Stephen Paddocks’ car.  Following the press conference for the investigation of the Las Vegas shooting, some YouTubers have discovered something unnerving in the video clip where Clark County Sheriff Lombard is asked about Stephen Paddock’s car.

When Sheriff Lombard is asked a question relating to the Gunman’s Stephen Paddocks’ car, someone allegedly whisper“Don’t go there”.

Lombard, who is visibly disturbed by the question responds “Don’t ask me to make assumptions, please”.

SCROLL DOWN FOR VIDEO LINK (TURN VOLUME UP AT 30:50)

The Sheriff caused a meltdown at the press conference when he suggested that Paddock “didn’t act alone”.

“Look at this. You look at the weapon obtaining the different amounts of tannerite available, do you think this was all accomplished on his own, face value?”

“You got to make the assumption he had to have help at some point, and we want to ensure that’s the answer. Maybe he’s a super guy, superhero–not a hero, super–I won’t use the word. Maybe he’s super — that was working out this out on his own, but it will be hard for me to believe that.”

South Carolina Republican, Trey Gowdy, also mirrored Lombard’s theory when the host, Martha MacCallum, he was “skeptical” that gunman Stephen Paddock, could have acted alone without the help of another person. Gowdy also predicted that he would be “proven right” that Paddocks wasn’t alone in the coming days of the investigation.”

With a Dubious Timeline, Now Amended … (Yet Again)
https://youtu.be/Wg6mZ80C8qc

We should also take note that the trend in the current mass media news reporting cycle of “the official narrative” appears to be following a script of casting suspicion simultaneously on ISIS while at the same time propping up authorities’ comments denying the participation of ISIS in the slaughter.

In short, they are practicing Orwellinan “New Speak” and “double talk.”

Having watched these tactics employed for more than 50 years now, this writer recognizes such “New Speak” and “double talk” as a sign typical of CIA-MK-Ultra mass mind control methods used (many times before, facilitated via CIA’s Operation Mockingbird) to create confusion, i.e., cognitive dissonance, in anyone who is listening except those who are inured and can recognize such neurolinguistic programming techniques when they are being applied to befuddle, manipulate and distort public perception of events.  This kind of reportage was used throughout the the JFK/MLK/RFK Assassinations, and the during the 911 Attacks and in days following, particularly in regard to the Shanksville crsh site and and government obscuration of how that airliner really came down.

Essential Elements of a Terrorist Attack

Motivation, intention, resources, opportunity, stealth and proximity to the victim(s) are essential for a sucessful terrorist assault.

As to motivation, intention and resources, these afoementined terrorist oranizations all share an inveterate hatred for the Unitd  States and the American people.

In that, they are all the same, and one might justifiably suspect, engaged in a “joint venture.”

However, as to opportunity and proximity, the Zetas’ AOR (area of responsibility), i.e., their territory and their resources are the closest with easy access to the target area.

Furthermore, at the moment, some degree of desperation may be setting in as the Zetas are under relentless attack on both sides of the border by the Trump Administration, and with the prospect of “The Wall” blocking their trade routes into the US market, the Zeta’s are zealous and highly motivated to strike terror into the very hearts and minds of the Amercian people.  The pressure that President Trump is putting on the Mexian government is bearing down on them and the US Border Patrol unshackled from the tethers and restraints of the Obama Administration pro-narcoterrorist border policies, the fuutre for the Zetas looks very grim indeed.

The “Gangbusters style” of prosecution that has been the hallmark of Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ use of the Department of Justice and the FBI in dismantling “M-13” by arresting, jailing and deporting members of the vast MS-13 narcotrafficking gangs, i.e., the Zetas distribution network across the U.S. is being destroyed and that surely puts The Zetas high on this reporter’s on the suspect list.

What???

Not a word of “Alllahu Akbar” Heard In Las Vegas?

Has there ever been an Al-Queda or ISIS attack anywhere where the words: “Allahu Akbar” weren’t heard or squealed by a dying suicide bomber?

I can’t recall any major attacks by Jihadis when the terrorists weren’t shouting or squeaking “Allahu Akbar” (which by the way has been designated a capital crime by the Italian Government, which has called upon Italian Carabinieri (police) to shoot on sight ANYONE who utters, screams or yells out “ALLAHU AKBAR” in any public setting!

If ISIS or Al-Queda are to blame for this massacre, that would make the Las Vegas attack the first major attack in which the words “ALLAHU AKBAR” were not heard (exept on Twitter).  This point reinforces  my observation, made previously, regarding the significance of the altercation that occured in the crowd 45 minutes before the shooting started.

It is clear that the words “ALLAHU AKBAR” nor anything akin to them were heard by anyone in the crowd.  If they were, it was not and has not been reported.

I think that the reader would agree that foreknoweldge of such a dastardly event would clearly imply that an association existed between those who knew before the event and those who perpetrated the deed.

All reports describing the 2 people who were caught up in the dispute and removed from the venue were described as a “Hispanics,” namely, man and a woman about 5 feet 5 or 6 inches, who was described as the instigator of the fracas and who shouted with an Hispanic accent.

And here, we face another paradox.

ISIS has openly been claiming responsibility for the attack since Day 2 …

and paradooxically, the Las Vegas Police & FBI deny and dismiss it, but is an established FACT that ISIS’ Warned 2 American Cities of impending attacks more than a week before the Las Vegas attack and Las Vegas was shown to be an intended target in the video warning.

It is an established and ecorded fact that more than a week before the killings, ISIS issued a dire and menacing warning to Las Vegas and to the city of San Francisco via Twitter that attacks were planned for those cities in the very near future.

NBC News in Las Vegas carried the report and did an extended feature story with city and police officials commenting on the implied threats, but diminishing their importance, if not dismissing them altogether.

This writer has seen that report several times and would note for the reader, that the ISIS warning (picked up on Twitter) threatening both cities, chose to show San Francisco’s Golden Bay Bridge to represent San Francisco, and remarkably, showed a panoramic photograph of The Black  Pyramind-Madalay Bay Hotel area precisely where the massace would occur about 10 days later.

Was Las Vegas a Terrorist Co-op or an FBI “Sting Operation” Gone Wrong?

It is possible, given the networking nature of terrorist cells, that more than one terrorist organization was involved.  In fact, given the wworld wide terrorist communications in drug smuggling and arms dealings, it would not be unreasonable to believe that ISIS or Al-Queda could have contracted technical asssistance from the Zetas to conduct the operation.  Or any one of them could have been lured into a planned FBI sting in which Steven Paddack was acting as a go-between for the FBI in arranging an arms sale that would have been the basis of the “FBI Sting Operation,”

It has also been discovered that Steven Pollack journeyed overseas more than 20 times and that he visited Jordan and the United Arab Emirates,  where he could have been radicalized by ISIS or some other terrorist cell.  Or he could have been there on a covert mission for one of our intelligence agencies, either the  CIA or the FBI.  he possibility that this was another case of “Fast & Furious” gone wrong is not out of the question, and quite a reasonable explanation for “what went down” that igh in Las Vegas.

It is important to note, as we have learned in recent years, that ISIS was created and funded by the US, Israel and Jordan who set up an operational headquarters in Amman, Jordan to oversee the creation of ISIS to establish  a “SALAFIST PRINICIPALITY” (quoted from a leaked Pentagon memo of August 2014).

This so-called “Salafist Principality” is one and the same “Caliphate” of Abu-Bakir al-Bagdhadi (i.e. the ‘Salafist prince” referred to in the Pentagon memo) that the Obama and Clinton State Department wanted to use to destabilize Syria and depose Bashar Assad.

The Pentagon memo was released last year during the Presidential campaign by WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange.

It appears from current information that Steven Pollack may have been working with the FBI or another Federal agency in an arms deal with a terrorist group and that the plan backfired badly with the terrorists discovering Pollack’s true identity.   This resulted in his execution and the carrying out of the coordinated attacks during a 15 minute period with the culprits getting away “Scott Free” and leaving Pollack’s dead body as a patsy behind (like Lee Harvey Oswald) to “take the rap.”

1- Aerial view of Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas, Nevada.

I’ve corellated these 2 videos with external photos of the hotel to triangulate the postion of the shooter.

There were no broken windows in that area of the hotel.  Using the POV of the Taxi Driver as she was aligned with the corner of the roof structure that covers the drive through access road, video analsis places the shooter atop the green rooftop seen in the photo above.  Below is video proof exposing the postion of the shooter(s):

This Las Vegas Taxi Driver’s Video caught a shooter firing from the lower floor of the Mandalay Bay from a very close vantage point, i.e. pulling out of the Mandalay’s Drive-Though entrance. This is amazing…I believe that this is indisputable proof and is consonant with the 1st video I sent you earlier, i.e. the stable video shot from the hotel across the street.  I’ve put both links together below.

Between Time Mark 4:39 and 4:52, we can hear the sounds of TWO (2) separate automatic weapons, each firing at a different rate of fire, one faster than the other. The sounds coming from one of the weapons is louder (with deeper sounding report of a higher caliber weapon) and one sounds much closer than the other.

2-  Vegas Shooting Taxi Driver’s Video

*******

3- Video from the hotel across the street.

I have calculated the shooter’s position to be outside the hotel and shooting from a rooftop that covers the passanger drop-off area of the entrance of the hotel.

4-  Taxi lady’s video captures unique shots that are on NO other video or audio captured at such close range.

However, there are 13 faint shots fired that she describes as “far away”.
This audio analysis proves beyond doubt that there were more than one gunman shooting and several times firing at the same time.  NO other video captures them.  So they were either INSIDE the hotel or South of Mandalay Bay.
The gun sounds are like those of an AK-47 or and M-240 belt fed machine-gun, for at least 9 of the 11 volleys.  If you were hit with that it would leave a big hole.
However, the pictures of Paddock’s room contained only AR-15s, which fire .223 caliber ammo (aka 556 mm. NATO rounds).   The majority of injuries appear to be more consistent with AR-15, not AK-47 round.

5- Iron-Clad Forensic Acoustic Analysis Proof of Multiple Shooters

Lag time between the arrival of the shots and the report of the weapons proves the presence of 2 shooters who were firing from different distances 400 meters and 250 meters.

10.01/10
1/1/1
3 = TRINITY
“October First” also = “OctoberFest”
Octoberfest is a Christian derivation from an ancient pagan harvest ritual.
JFK was also shot in the midst of a Masonic temple near the banks of the Trinity River and the main hub of the MILINT radio command and control center that was directing Air Force 1’s radio transmissions was also designated “TRINITY.”

THE MISSING GRUDGE REPORT CHAPTER 13 – CONTENTS REVEALED

THE GRUDGE 13/BLUE BOOK INCIDENTs By William S. English

<Edited by Robert D. Morningstar> INTRODUCTION

Many nights I go outside of my home into the yard where I look up through the clear, crisp, desert night, to look at the bright stars and wonder. Sometimes I am reminded of nights similar to these when I stood upon the high plateau of Glastonbury Tor in England, looking at stars so bright you could almost reach out and grab a handful of them, and almost relive the legends of CAmelot and Arthur the King. When I think back, I remember the pleasant times and joy that was once a part of my experiences in England, and with my family. As I think back on it all I also remember the pain that was caused me during that time.

This describes my experience with the NIGHTLINE TV show that occurred before the first “INDEPENDENCE DAY (ID4)”

FOR THE RECORD:

During the late spring of 1996 many people were anticipating the early July opening of the blockbuster UFO “epic” film, INDEPENDENCE DAY .

It was during this time that I was contacted by the ABC Nightline show and asked to appear on a special documentary “SETI and UFO” show they planned to do in early July.

I was told that they had a video of “strange lights” obtained from a telescope in Hawaii which normally did classified research.  They wanted me to view and analyze the video “live” on camera. They would not let me see it first.

I disliked this requirement that I couldn’t view the video first because I suspected they were going to try to make me look like a fool (for claiming the lights were related to ET), but I did it anyway. Probably few people even recall this rather good documentary and fewer still recall the video of strange lights.

Nevertheless, because ABC News, in 2007, released this documentary (available from Amazon) I feel that I should “set the record straight” regarding the “UFO video.” To learn about the difficulties of this sort of research and to learn what “it” probably was, go to my web site. Note, by the way, that I reported to Nightline the final result of my research but Nightline never reported that to the television audience.

The Nightline UFO Video:

No Longer a Question Mark

The spring of 1996 was characterized by, among other things, the “run up” to the opening of the “blockbuster” UFO movie, INDEPENDENCE DAY. It was in this context that I received a late June phone from Jay LaMonica, the producer of ABC’s “Nightline” show which was hosted by well-known newsman and commentator Ted Koppel. He called to tell me that he had a video of some strange lights that had been recorded by a special “GEODS” telescope system on Mt. Haleakala which is on the Island of Maui in Hawaii. He wondered if I would be willing to analyze it. He said there were three bright lights which crossed the field of view and that initially it was thought these were lights on an airplane, but then the people who first saw the video noticed that star images passed between the lights without blinking so they thought that perhaps it wasn’t a plane after all. Sometime, he didn’t say when, after the video was first seen in early December, 1993, someone, he wouldn’t say who, had passed along a copy of the unclassified video to ABC.

Jay went on to say that Nightline was going to do a show on UFOs and SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Life). (I immediately assumed that this was to be a “tie-in” with the opening of the movie.) He wondered if I would be willing to appear in the show. I said “sure” and “when can I see the video,” or words to that effect. He responded that I couldn’t see the video until the taping of my segment because he wanted to get my reaction to seeing the video for the first time. I was a bit irked at that because I knew he would be asking me to base a conclusion on “instantaneous analysis,” hardly a scientific way to approach the situation. Since I couldn’t see the video I asked him for as many details as he knew. He did not know much. He said it took several seconds for the lights to cross the field of view which he thought was about 2 degrees. He also said that the telescope was pointed at or near the horizon. I asked for the name of a person to call so I could learn more details, but he wouldn’t give me a name. I therefore asked him to recontact his source and find out everything he could about the telescope and where it was pointed.

We had some difficulty in setting up the exact date and time for the interview. In subsequent conversations, as we tried to specify the interview date, Jay told me that he had contacted someone involved with the project which took the video. He now believed that the field of view was probably 5 1/2 degrees rather than the originally mentioned value of 2 degrees, but he couldn’t be certain because there are several telescopes on Maui and he didn’t know which one had taken the video.

The big day came over a week later, on July 11, 1996. I arrived at the ABC studio in Washington. D.C. equipped with a ruler, a calculator and a pad of paper. Although I had only sparse information I was determined to do the best analysis I could under the circumstances. From what Jay had told me I knew I would be able to estimate the angular velocity and angular spacing of the lights. Knowledge of these angular quantities might allow me to reject, or at least set limits on, the various potential explanations.

As soon as the camera crew set up the TV monitor and video machine I began running the video over and over. Text at the beginning of the video stated that it was taken by a GEODS telescope during the year 1993 on day 335 at 032444Z (335th day of the year, December 1, at Greenwich Mean Time of 3:22:24 AM which corresponds to 5:22:24 PM, November 30 in Hawaii).

I determined that it took almost exactly 3 seconds for the lights to cross the FOV (assumed to be 5.5 deg), from left to right, in a straight line tilted slightly upward. This corresponded to an angular rate of 1.83 degrees/sec or 0.032 rad/sec. (Note: 1 degree = 0.0174 radians or 0.0174 rad. Multiply the angle in rad or the angular rate in rad/sec by the distance to get size or speed as measured perpendicular to the line of sight.) There were three lights, equally spaced and traveling in parallel with the central light a bit ahead of the lights above and below. I measured the length of the image of each bright light and found it corresponded to an angular size of about 0.005 rad while the angular spacing between the upper and lower lights was about 0.01 rad. Close to the central bright light were two much fainter lights, one above and one below. Hence there were a total of five lights (3 strong, 2 weak) traveling through the FOV of the telescope. If I had known the distance to the lights I could have calculated the actual size and velocity (perpendicular to the line of sight) from the measurements I had made. Unfortunately there was no way to determine the distance from the available information.

After watching the video several times and thinking about it I gained the distinct impression that if the information I had been given were correct (5.5 degree FOV; telescope pointed at or close to the horizon), then both the airplane and meteor hypotheses had problems. The images of the lights were spaced too far apart to be from an airplane near the horizon unless it was extremely close to the telescope and had a very large wingspan, but in this case it would also be traveling very slowly. On the other hand, if the images were meteors the angular speed was too low unless they were so far away that they might be outside the sensible atmosphere, in which case they wouldn’t glow.

Whether either of these potential explanations was correct, or if neither was, depended upon the actual angle of elevation of the telescope: was it pointed exactly at the horizon? Was it pointed 5 or 10 degrees or more above the horizon? Unfortunately I didn’t learn the answer to this important question until many weeks later.

Dr. Michael Guillen, the science correspondent for ABC TV, was the interviewer. The first thing I said to him after being introduced and well before the cameras were rolling, was “This is the worst investigation I have ever done.” I said that because I had never before made a public statement about a potential UFO case without first carrying out an investigation that at least included talking to the witnesses. (I realized that no one had actually seen the objects at the time of the taping since the video had been recorded automatically, but I knew that someone associated with the project could answer the technical questions.) I then let Michael wait a bit while I did some calculations of angular sizes and speeds. At the bottom of my note pad I wrote “Distance not actually known, nor (angular) elevation of camera (telescope). Hence can do no more than make educated guesses.”

Michael spent 30 minutes or more trying to get me to identify the lights. We played the video over and over as we both watched. The failure of one star image in particular to disappear when it passed between the upper and middle bright lights (where the wing of an aircraft would block the star) was obvious to both of us, as it had been to Jay. This seemed to be strong evidence that the lights were not connected by an opaque body, namely, the wing of an airplane. However, I pointed out that we couldn’t be certain because the failure of the star image to dim very briefly might have been some artifact of the camera electronics or the recording mechanism about which we knew next to nothing. As an example of the possible effect of the camera operation on the recording of a star that is momentarily blocked by a wing, imagine a 10 ft wide wing and a wing speed of 300 mph which is 440 ft/sec. The star image could be blocked by the wing for about 10/440 = 0.023 sec. The typical camera frame rate is 0.03 sec per frame. Thus the blockage would occur during one frame time which was too short to be observed under the circumstances – viewing on a (analogue) TV monitor with electronic noise and “twinkling” of the star causing brightness fluctuations at all times.

Michael told me that he had shown the video to Dr. Robert Nathan, formerly of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and a long-time UFO analyst with whom I have worked on UFO photos and videos during the 1970’s and 1980’s. Jay and Michael had been rather surprised when Robert had immediately identified the lights as meteors without any analysis other than viewing the video. I told Michael I was suspicious of the meteor explanation (for the reason given above), but that I could not be sure whether or not it was correct without knowing the angular elevation of the telescope. Furthermore, I doubted that a meteor which had broken into three parts before entering the FOV would have three nearly equally sized pieces that could travel in parallel at exactly the same rate and could travel without creating a trail of burning particles.

For many minutes he seemed be “browbeating” me into making some positive identification. It seemed to me that he wanted me to say I thought it was a real UFO or Extraterrestrial Craft. However, I refused such an identification and repeatedly stated that more investigation was needed before any answer was to be proposed. Finally, Michael asked me how I ranked the video in terms of credibility and strangeness and I said that the video had a high degree of both but that it would have to remain a big question mark. At least I would not provide any speculative explanation.

After I left the ABC TV station I began the real investigation. I hoped to have a definite answer before the video was shown nationally on Nightline. Unfortunately, that was not to be.

After a more careful theoretical analysis I was able to put more specific restrictions on the potential explanations. It became apparent that if the telescope were within 10 degrees of the horizon the meteor hypothesis could explain the angular velocity, although it still couldn’t explain the constant speed along parallel tracks without any sign of a meteor trail. Similarly, if the telescope were within 10 degrees of the horizon the airplane hypothesis was unlikely because the angular size and angular speed would only be consistent with a very large aircraft (well over 100 ft wingspan) flying at a very low speed (100 mph or lower) at a short distance from the telescope (a mile or less). The upshot of this analysis was that if the telescope were pointed close to the horizon the suggested explanations were severely strained if not simply unacceptable. Hence the possibility that one — or three — or five — UFOs were involved had to be considered. It all depended upon the angular elevation of the telescope, which I did not know and which I was not able to learn before Nightline showed the video on July 16, 1996.

Because I had to locate the telescope operators by asking for help from other people, it took well over a month to get the “real data.” The crucial information turned out to be far different from what I had been led to believe. I had been told by LaMonica that the angular elevation was low, maybe several degrees (“near the horizon”). However, I learned from the operators that the actual angular elevation was much greater and, in fact, was nearly straight up (85 degrees). I also learned that the telescope was about 10,000 ft above mean sea level (AMSL).

This put a whole new light on the matter. It took me all of five minutes (or less) to determine that under this circumstance the lights could be on an aircraft of some nominal wingspan traveling at several hundred mph at a reasonable cruising altitude above the telescope. In fact, any combination of wingspan, W in ft, speed S in ft/sec and height H in ft AMSL which obeys the relations S/(H-10,000) = 0.032 rad/sec and W/[H-10,000] = 0.01 rad would work. (Note: since the telescope is at 10,000 ft AMSL, the assumed H should be no lower than, say, 11,000 ft. Also, the assumed H should be no greater than 45,000 ft which is an upper altitude for typical aircraft). For example, if H = 20,000 ft AMSL the wingspan could be W = 0.01 x (20,000 – 10,000) = 100 ft and the speed could be S = 0.032 (20,000 – 10,000) = 320 ft/sec or 220 mph. Similarly, the video would be consistent with a plane having a wingspan of W = 40 ft and a speed of S = 128 ft/sec = 87 mph providing it were flying only about 4,000 ft above the telescope at H = 14,000 ft AMSL. Naturally there are many (an infinite) number of possible combinations of W, S and H that would satisfy the requirements of the video.

The telescope operators told me that, upon seeing the video, they had immediately suspected that it was an airplane, but then they questioned that explanation because they rarely, if ever, see an airplane overflying the telescope installation. One of the men called the FAA to find out if there was any record of an airplane scheduled to fly over Mt. Haleakala at the time of the video. He was told there was no such record (no air route passes over the mountain). Of course, an aircraft could have flown over the mountain without the FAA having a record of its exact flight path.

One aspect of the imagery seemed to directly contradict the airplane hypothesis: at one time a star image appears to pass “through” the space between the bright central lights and the upper “wing” light. This had been pointed out to me by LaMonica as evidence against the aircraft hypothesis because one would expect the star to be momentarily blocked by a solid wing. When I first saw the video I wondered whether or not that could be explained as an artifact of the electronics. Subsequently I learned from the telescope operators that the nature of the image forming and capturing electronics (RCA ISIT microchannel plate and image scan device — like a vidicon — plus a scan converter to make an ordinary VHS video) could have failed to record a brief blockage of the starlight, that should have resulted in a momentary “turning off” of the star image, because of time delay (integration time) in the processing devices.

CONCLUSION:

A UFO is as a UFO does. If a UFO does nothing that an IFO (identified flying object) could not do, then there is no reason to call it a UFO. In this case it appears that an airplane would be consistent with the observational evidence. Although I can not prove there was an airplane flying over the telescope, there is no reason to believe that an airplane could not have done so. Since there is no evidence in the video which conclusively contradicts the airplane hypothesis there is no good reason to claim that the lights were something else. Weeks after the show I reported to LaMonica that the lights were probably on an airplane. So far as I know, this information was never conveyed to the audience of Nightline.

An example of the opposite situation, where an unidentified object does something a conventional object could not do under the conditions of observation, is recorded in a daylight video taken July 21, 1995 in Gulf Breeze, Florida. This video shows an oddly shaped object, nearly rectangular in outline and brownish colored, of roughly 30 ft width, looking nothing like an airplane or a helicopter or a balloon/blimp, which reverses its direction of travel from roughly 500 mph rightward to about the same speed leftward (a 1,000 mph velocity change) in about 1/3 of a second (over 100 g’s of acceleration!). There is no man-made or naturally occurring object in the sky which can accomplish such a feat under the conditions of this observation. Hence that object remains a true UFO.

Damn near 70 Years into this UFO phenomenon

Okay, so here we are, damn near 70 years into this phenomenon and we’re still debating. It’s time to fish or cut bait. In the past 70 years we’ve gotten little or no cooperation from government and the press. Matter of fact they’ve engaged in criminal activity and unconstitutional actions since day one. That being said, it’s now time to call what is happening based on the evidence and data the PEOPLE have gathered on their own. No more BSing around and outlandish speculation or messages from the ‘Space Brothers’. We need to look at ‘actions’ and let that be the foundation for our conclusions. I call upon all the top UFOlogists to hold a meeting and put out a final assessment. I’ve been studying UFOs for over 40 years. I worked in journalism for 35 years. I’ve seen UFOs up close and always with mass sightings except once and even then it was near a heavily populated industrial complex and adjoining neighborhood. From what I’ve gathered from the more reputable UFOlogists and common folk, is the following:

Some UFOs are indeed extraterrestrial mechanisms of a wide variety of functions, i.e. space, atmospheric, aquatic engineering.

Earth and its creatures, us primarily have been experimented on by the occupants of these craft for tens of thousands of years, if not more.

The U.S. Government has been in collusion with these extraterrestrials and their artificial constructs whereby exchanges have occurred and misunderstandings that are shared only with the intelligence agencies, military/industrial complex, and high end commerce officials.

The interaction of the U.S. Government with these beings has delivered nothing to the betterment of the country nor mankind as a whole. Secrets of advanced medicine, technology are only allowed in the hands of a few who are accountable to no one and the evidence suggests screw ups of an incredible magnitude that they’re still trying to cover up to this day.

Finally, the human population of the planet is undergoing an undermining of its genetic infrastructure to accommodate these extraterrestrials or whatever you want to call them, and there’s nothing we can do to stop it as our resources of government and media will not, not ‘cannot’, cooperate in our best interest.

So I’m sure many of you can elaborate, but the bottom line is, we need to cut out the absurd speculations and just put the cards on the table once and for all.
